This is a new section where I upload whole sets of Sims and lots that I made for a specific world or things that came with a world and that I modified, made-over or whatever.

For example I have a whole folder of all lots in Riverview that I updated to recolorable fences, staircases and floor tile edges or the same for Sunset Valley but where I also toned down the colour spectrum of outside walls and floors.

And this will be the dump where these might end up.

The start will be a small set of lots that I already advertised in my lot section for Twinbrook to fill the last remaining empty plots (well, one is missing because I filled it with a lot from MTS)

I have redone a lot of the stuff since uploading the pictures and removed all Store stuff I had in them (see notes)
And as I uploaded all 4 now you will find that they are all still lacking in terms of furnishing.

Town Trash Tb_far10

Farnham Place
For the 30x30 lot at the beginning of Sweetwater Loop.
Built after a real house in Metairie, Louisiana. Farnham Place is the name of the road.
It comes with horribly sized rooms and a basement built into the low foundation.

Uses 1 piece of cc - an awesims cornice.

For this the removal of Store stuff was a bit tough, because I used walls from Monte Vista to give the outside a more profiled look and a fence from Roaring Heights for the chimney. I left one sample of the fence on the lot and the left side still has some of the walls in the frieze area left over, in case you have them and want to use my CASting.

In the bedroom there's also a bookcase standing around from Roaring Heights that I thought fits better there; you'll notice it because it stands in the middle of the room next to the bed. Place it where the GEN shelf is if you own that world.

Town Trash Tb_ste10

Sterling Jab
A 30x20 lot that goes on the empty plot between the Riddle house and the Spa building.
It is an almost identical copy of a house in Midnight Hollow but rebuilt to fit a different lot direction. The shed in the back contains access to a basement built into the foundation.
Almost fully furnished, but like in the original with pastel colours, heavily leaning versus pink.

I removed every Store item, including those for Midnight Hollow and did some reshuffling of the back shed and reworked the balcony at the front.

Town Trash Tb_the10

The Madisonville
For the other empty 30x30 lot on Sweetwater Loop, between the Castors and the Greenwoods house.
Built inspired by a real house in Madisonville, LA, hence the name.
Basement built into the foundation at the back, too.

A lot of empty rooms still.

Town Trash Tb_tri10

The Triplet Decker
A 30x20 lot for the one remaining empty plot on the little half island with the houses on stilts.
Three almost identical studio flats and one common kitchen.
It's a bit of a monstrosity, but somehow it fits into the neighbourhood. The deck foundation was copied from the Brandt house diagonally across the street. Has the most Store furnishings and is the least inspired of the four Laughing

For this the removal of Store stuff was the most deplorable because it made heavy use of the thin metal columns from Lucky Palms. If you have them the CASting of the current LN ones is identical.

Three of the blinds on the ground floor are also a different colour from the rest. These were Lucky Palms curtains.

You might also notice that the wallpapers in the three bedrooms are just variations of the same theme. I'm horrible at making decisions, but I was definite on the dark purple-bright yellow colour scheme.

General note on cheats usage:
I used MOO for some of the columns in Farnham Place and CFE on three lots only for the foundation walls leading down to the basements and the frieze walls leading up to attics.

BONUS:
As a bonus the zip also contains a Sim, because I happen to like her quite a bit. She's a typical Twinbrookian in two respects: She has a punny silly name, Radha Sharpe, and she has one of the two ear types that are common in TB citizens. You'll notice it when you change her hairdo ...

Town Trash Radhas10

Town Trash Radhas11

She doesn't wear anything CC or from the Store but from various EPs and SPs and uses only the default sliders. At the moment in my game she is still a bit boring as an inactive, as she has the tendency to leave her house in the swamp on foot and by the time she arrives in town it's already dark and so she leaves again (in a car of course Neutral)

Download the set Here

ETA: I'm sure you're mature enough to deal with the fact that the photos are not exactly picturing the actual lots anymore.

You are so awesome Don! REGcloud I haven't been into Sims lately, however, I really want to get your stuff. The houses look great and your Sim is adorable!

Thank you. I'm glad that you like it.

And just after uploading I noticed that I forgot to replace one Midnight Hollow door in the Sterling Jab house faceslap

Well, if that's the case, the game usually replaces it with something else if the content isn't in a person's game and then it can be either recolored to match or replaced after placing in a world. I think we've all had moments like that. sunny

In order to add up to this project here are pics of the houses that inspired two of the builds:

The Madisonville:

And now I need some further help.

There's one pre-made house that bothers me constantly. I simply do not like it. It's the Low Country Rambler at Sweetwater Loop, between the Roommates and the Castor families:
Town Trash Twinbrook+-+Low+Country+Rambler

I want to replace it finally. So, here's a list of houses that I think might fit:

Help me choose one!

I love your makeover houses and your bonus sim. I have not played in Twinbrook in a long time, but, it is on the list to be added to my connected worlds save eventually, if that save doesn't die again. Smile You did an awesome job recreating those houses!

I liked Eastover Cottage and Farmhouse Revival and Bayou Bend....omg the upper porch on that one! Gosh, I like most of them, but some seemed too big for the lot or too rural in appearance for the neighborhood.

You're going for the look of the house, not for the actual floorplan, right? I like many of these houses but if I had to choose one it would be 12. Kinsley Place.

For replacement specifically for that house on that lot, I would pick Farmhouse Revival #1821 from that page. sunny There are a lot of cool houses on that page, however, some of them look too huge for the lot.

Ha, the more I dig into this the more I understand what the Low Country Rambler is supposed to be. For me it was neither "low" (foundation too high), nor "country" (too urban/suburban) and not a "rambler" either (too high, again, too symmetrical and nothing like what google comes up with when I search for rambler).
But just now I learned that there is a place called Lowcountry (South Carolina?) and there one can find similar monstrosities.

The Sims truly expands one's horizons.

That is interesting, Don! It seems the pink trees in Sims 4 are also from the south, from what I learned. Are there a lot of people who work on The Sims from the south, I wonder?

OK, I tried something completely different, but also based on an existing house:

Town Trash Tb_low11

Main floor is already furnished:

Town Trash Tb_low10

It's still a monster but at least one with a lot of spare room. There's enough room under the roof for two bedrooms, an office and a small bathroom and the whole main floor can be mirrored downstairs because the high 'foundation' is actually a full floor Laughing

Due to the fickleness I my own life I have adopted a rather unstable Simming habit, cycling through saves on a regular basis, abandoning long lasting games and restarting their worlds.
From Twinbrook I switched to Lucky Palms, to Niua Simoa, then Bridgeport and now I'm back in Isla Paradiso. I'm currently building more than I play and I seem to have made enormous progress in that respect. Laughing

So, is anyone interested in this new "gem"? Behold:

The Star of Calimshan

Town Trash Thesta10

Isn't it a lovely little houseboat?

I'd have to de-Store it before upload first though because it uses a lot of Store stuff from Midnight Hollow, Dragon Valley, Roaring Heights and the various India sets.

And if you wonder who could live in there, well, may I suggest a cutesy little mermaid?

Porphyra Stargazer

Town Trash Porphy10

(Looking at her picture again I realised that she looked much "better", i.e. uglier, in CAS. Sigh! Time to tweak her again, I guess.

Wow. You and me both!

I used to play households to death and got extremely attached to several families. But nowadays I will still play the same families but I will put them into a new town, break them up or completely reshape existing towns and experiment with house designs and mixing up lot functions. It's lots more fun and a lot less creepy! ROFL

What a great game that you can do this. sunny
